Chief Technology Transfer Officer
A CNRS senior researcher since 2008, Michel Mortier holds a PhD in materials science at Pierre et Marie Curie University of Paris in 1994 and obtained the HDR (habilitation degree) in 2003. He is a physical chemist specialized in solid state materials and an expert in inorganic materials for optics and photonics. He directed the Henri Moissan department at Chimie ParisTech before founding the Institut de Recherche de Chimie Paris (a CNRS - Chimie ParisTech joint research unit). He also carried out a mission for the President of the CNRS in the field of innovation and technology transfer as part of the French government's Investments for the Future program. In 2012, Michel Mortier became advisor to the President of the CNRS regarding site policies. Since June 2017, he has been heading and coordinating the CNRS's technology transfer activities.
